San Michele Cemetery. In use since 1837, after the canal separating the island of San Michele from the island of San Cristoforo della Pace was filled in. Ezra Pound, Igor Stravinsky, Joseph Brodsky, and Serge Diaghilev, among many others, are buried here. A place of contemplation, peace, and serenity.
